Svendborg harbour on south Funen is the gateway to the South Funen archipelago. The municipal ferries M/F Højestene (to Skarø and Drejø) and Hjortøboen (to Hjortø) sail from the town-centre quays, and Ærøfærgerne’s ferry to Ærøskøbing also departs from Svendborg.
