FerryConnect does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address or payment details. This page explains the limited data processed when you browse the site.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and PostHog to understand which pages are useful. Both collect pseudonymous usage data such as pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type. We use this in aggregate to improve route coverage and page content. We don’t use it to identify you.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links go through affiliate networks (including Awin, CJ and Travelpayouts). When you click one, the network or merchant may set a cookie so that a booking can be attributed to FerryConnect. That processing is governed by the relevant network’s and merchant’s privacy policies. See how FerryConnect is funded.

Maps and weather

Route maps load map software and tiles from third-party providers, and live sea conditions are fetched from the Open-Meteo API. These requests share your IP address with those providers so they can deliver the content.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and use browser extensions to opt out of analytics. The site works without them.
