Algeciras, on the Bay of Gibraltar, is Spain’s main passenger port for Morocco (Tanger Med) and the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. Traffic peaks sharply in summer during Operación Paso del Estrecho, when large numbers of vehicles cross between Europe and North Africa.
