Which Phuket pier?
Phuket has three piers for scheduled boats. Rassada Pier, near Phuket Town, is the main ferry port, with ferries and speedboats to Koh Phi Phi, Krabi, Railay, Ao Nang, Koh Lanta and, in season, Koh Yao, Koh Ngai and Koh Lipe. Bang Rong Pier on the north-east coast is where the public speedboats and longtails to Koh Yao Noi leave. Laem Hin Pier, north of Phuket Town, has KITT Connect’s car ferry to Koh Yao Yai. Tigerline uses its own AT Pier rather than Rassada.
From Rassada Pier
Koh Phi Phi is the busiest route: about 15 departures a day in October 2026 from Andaman Wave Master, Bundhaya, Chaokoh and Phi Phi Cruiser (plus Tigerline from the AT Pier), taking about 45 minutes to 1 hour by speedboat or 2 hours by ferry. Andaman Wave Master’s speedboat goes to Krabi’s Klong Jilad Pier at 08:45 (about 2 hours). Railay and Ao Nang have direct boats all year (about 1 to 1½ hours), and Koh Lanta about 1 hour 30 minutes with Bundhaya. In the high season Bundhaya adds runs to Koh Yao Noi and Koh Yao Yai (about 1 hour), Koh Ngai (2½–3 hours) and Koh Lipe (5–5½ hours).
Bang Rong and Laem Hin: the Koh Yao islands
From Bang Rong, the Koh Yao Noi Boat Club runs 8 departures a day to Manoh Pier on Koh Yao Noi between 08:40 and 17:00: speedboats take about 30 minutes and the 12:30 longtail about an hour. KITT Connect’s car ferry crosses from Laem Hin to Laem Yai on Koh Yao Yai once a day each way (14:00 from Phuket, 08:00 from Koh Yao Yai in October 2026); the operator does not publish the crossing time.
