Krabi’s three departure points
Boats leave Krabi from three places. Klong Jilad Pier, Krabi’s passenger port near Krabi Town, is where Andaman Wave Master’s big ferries sail to Koh Phi Phi and its speedboat to Phuket. Nopparat Thara Pier at the western end of Ao Nang beach is Bundhaya’s speedboat pier for Phuket, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and Koh Yao Noi. Railay, which Andaman Wave Master describes as inaccessible by road because of its cliffs, has a floating pier on Railay East where Bundhaya, Andaman Wave Master and Tigerline boats call.
Krabi Town to Koh Phi Phi and Phuket
Andaman Wave Master’s ferry leaves Klong Jilad daily at 09:00 and 13:00 and takes 2 to 2½ hours to Ton Sai on Phi Phi (back at 10:30 and 15:30). Its speedboat to Phuket’s Rassada Pier leaves Phuket at 08:45 and Krabi at 13:30, taking about 2 hours. In October 2026 Tigerline also ran a 45-minute speedboat to Phi Phi at 09:15 from Kongka Pier.
Ao Nang and Railay speedboats
From Ao Nang, Bundhaya sails to Koh Phi Phi in about 50 minutes (10:10 and 14:40 all year) and to Koh Lanta in about 1 hour 30 minutes (10:10 all year, plus 13:00 and 14:40 in high season), and in season to Koh Yao Noi in 40 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes (10:30 and 15:00). Railay has direct boats all year to Phuket (1 to 1½ hours: Andaman Wave Master at 08:45 from Phuket, Bundhaya at 11:00), to Koh Phi Phi (30–40 minutes, Bundhaya at 10:30 and 13:30) and to Koh Lanta (about 1 hour 10 minutes; Railay → Lanta at 10:30 all year).
Ao Nang to Railay by longtail
The short hop from Ao Nang to Railay is by shared longtail, not a timetabled ferry. According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, longtails leave Ao Nang beach daily from 07:00 to 18:00 whenever 8–12 passengers have gathered, take about 20 minutes to Railay West and cost 100 THB a seat; outside those hours you charter a boat. The return works the same way from Railay West beach.
Koh Jum, Koh Klang and Koh Yao from Krabi
Koh Jum has 8 boats a day each way from Laem Kruat pier (09:00–18:00 from the mainland, 06:30–16:00 from Mutu Pier), taking about 40 minutes. Koh Klang, across the river from Krabi Town, is a 10–15 minute longtail ride from Chao Fa Pier or Tara Park Pier, morning to evening. KITT Connect’s car ferries run twice a day from Khlong Sai Pier to Koh Yao Noi (1 hour 10 minutes to 1½ hours) and on to Koh Yao Yai.
